Attorney

Christine Sampson Hinson, Esq.

Chris is a graduate of Texas A&M University where she obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting.  She then attended St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio receiving her Juris Doctor (JD) with distinction.  Thereafter she attended New York University School of Law where she obtained her Masters of Law Taxation (LL.M.).  Being a lifelong learner, Chris returned to the books, attending the University of Alabama obtaining a Masters in Human Environmental Sciences in 2018.  Chris is currently licensed to practice law in Alabama and Texas (inactive status).  She is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Texas (inactive status).Chris’ primary area of practice is estate planning and estate administration, along with entity formation and non-profit organizations. Chris loves her hometown of Huntsville, and serves on the Board of the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, along with the Burritt Museum Foundation and the Financial and Estate Planning Council of Huntsville. Chris enjoys college football, international travel, and simply hanging out at the lake with family and friends.

James R. Hinson, Jr., Esq.

Bob is a graduate of the University of Alabama where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration with a degree in Corporate Finance.  He then attended the University of Alabama School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor (JD) Degree with distinction and was a member of the Order of the Coif and a Hugo Black Scholar.  From 1985 to 1986 he attended the New York University School of Law where he obtained his Masters of Law-Taxation (LL.M.).

Bob is currently licensed to practice law in Alabama and Tennessee (inactive status).  His primary area of practice is estate disputes, probate administration, will, trusts, surviving spousal rights, trust terminations and reformations, along with business law, including corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships.

Maia A. Niemann, Esq.

Maia attended the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee where she received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 2006, and she is licensed to practice law in both Alabama and in Tennessee. Estate planning and estate administration are Maia’s primary areas of practice, which include drafting Wills, trusts, and power of attorney documents, as well as probating Wills and intestate estates where there is no Will. Maia  also handles other probate court matters such as adoptions, adult guardianships and conservatorships, and business entity formation.   Prior to her law , Maia earned a Master's degree from the University of Chicago in Public Policy, and she worked for a number of years evaluating the effectiveness of social work programs. Maia spent her undergraduate years in Dayton, Ohio, and is a proud alum of the University of Dayton.   Maia is a member of the Huntsville Madison County Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, and the Tennessee Bar Association, and volunteers with the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program.

Lucas C. Schroeder, Esq.

A Missouri native, Luke graduated from Auburn University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Immediately following his undergraduate studies, Luke obtained his J.D. from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. While at Cumberland he also served as an Associate Editor on the Cumberland Law Review. Luke recently moved to Huntsville, AL and is excited to start his law career with Hinson & Hinson, P.C. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends. He is also currently pursuing an L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law.
